We are here to answer any questions you may have, if you're still not prepared to schedule your inspection here is additional information you may find useful:
Q: Do I have to be present during the home inspection?
A: No, however it is recommended if possible. If you're not able to be present during the inspection don't worry as we are here to answer your call after you receive your inspection report.
Q: I'm on a deadline, how long does it take to do the inspection, write up the report and get it to me so I can move forward with my decision to purchase?
A: Short answer, 24 hours. The inspector is aware of the time issues with the purchase of real estate and will do the best we can to get all reports sent as soon as they are completed.
Q: What reports does Gulf State Home Inspections perform other than a home inspection that I will need to move forward with the purchase of our new home?
A: Typically a Wind Mitigation Inspection and a 4 Point Inspection will be needed to acquire a Home Insurance policy. Both of these inspections will be provided at no charge (if needed) with the purchase of a Full Home Inspection. These can be completed as standalone inspections for $150.
Q: I need to cancel my inspection, how soon can I cancel?
A: Client can cancel appointment anytime. We do ask that you notify us as soon as you can so that we can fill your allotted appointment time.
Q: Are your inspections accepted by all insurance carriers.
A: Yes
Q: I have done nothing since I purchased my home to increase its protection against hurricane, should I have a Wind Mitigation conducted?
A: Yes, homes of all ages have some form of protection and if not Gulf State Home Inspections does not charge for our inspection.
Q: Are your Inspectors properly licensed to perform my inspection.
A: Yes, State of Florida License # HI5043.
Q: Are there standards in place the inspector must follow on every inspection?
A: Yes, Gulf State Home Inspections follow InterNachi's Standards of Practice.
Q: When I call will I be pressured to use Gulf State Home Inspections?
A: Absolutely not, we will answer any questions you have and if you decide you do not need the inspection that is fine. We will not call you unless we are asked too.
